About Jessie Wilber

JESSIE SPAULDING WILBERJessie in Africa 1966
10 November, 1912 – 2 October, 1989

Jessie Wilber enjoyed a life equally enriched by art in many ways. Over the years a wealth of experiences, exposures, and influences would shape her world, the outcome a work of art in itself. Though primarily a two-dimensional artist exploring cubism, impression, and the creative process of developing one’s own artistic path through sketches, collages, and serigraphs, Jessie also enjoyed weaving and ‘string projects’, enamelware, a bit of ceramics, as well as playing the piano. Her love of the outdoors, animals, and gardening played a major role in influencing her life’s work.
